Eurovision 2008

Eurovision Song Contest is like a big party in Europe. There are all sorts of music and performances. I love it, because it’s 100% live, including the orchestra, so everyone gives it their all.

This year there were again lots of pretty boys and gals, some ballads, a few rock, some boppy tunes, and a singing turkey. While there’s always been some politics in the votings, there’s now an obvious skew towards the Soviet Republics, which is a shame, because I enjoy Eurovision for its melting pot of creativity. This year was Azerbaijan’s first entry, and I thought it could have one. It’s still crazy cool anyway. Click on “Watch in High Quality”, that’s even cooler!

Here’s some Eurovision nostalgia…

A classic song. Eurovision helped launch many music careers, including ABBA and Celine Dion

This is one of Andi’s favourite songs

And this is mine. No, it’s not because of the whips >.<

And I play this one to tease Andi *runs and hides*
